“ 10’s across the board!!! As someone who’s of Jamaican decent I’ve been on the hunt for some Jamaican food since moving from NY. I saw lots of good reviews on TikTok and figured I give this place a try and I’m so glad I did! The food was delicious! As soon as I walked in and was greeted by an aroma of jerk chicken on a grill I knew!! The vibe very much homey and I loved it! The staff were friendly and attentive! Our server Galye is AMAZING!!! I got the oxtails, with rice and peas and cabbage. The oxtails were nicely seasoned, rice was a perfect texture and the cabbage was done just right! I would HIGHLYYYY recommend this place! ”
“ I must start off by saying the sauce probably was my favorite part of the meal. I ordered under the Jerk & Fries, and I got the half chicken. The portions here a great honestly they give so much food I had to take it home. My chicken was a little dry and my fries were greasy, but I’d still come back and maybe order something else due to the flavor. The service was great everyone checked on us and made us feel welcomed. This restaurant transported me to Jamaica. I enjoyed the interior so much I honestly felt as if I was out of town. ”
“ We were craving Jamaican food while we were out exploring Dallas and we found this spot. The food here tasted better than the food I had at a resort in Jamaica. So authentic, flavorful, and so well seasoned. From the moment we walked in we were warmly welcomed and greeted by our waitress Dee who was so sweet and answered all our questions about the menu and gave excellent recommendations. The food was fresh and tasty and the portion sizes were very generous. We got the whole red snapper fish with a side of rice and peas and steamed cabbage on one plate and the oxtail with a side of candied yams and Mac and cheese. We also tried the Ting soda and the guava carrot juice. Everything was absolutely amazing and we will definitely be back here the next time we’re in Dallas! ”
“ Food and service are incredible! I’ve had Roland’s twice for take out and the food has been consistently great. Large portions and the flavors are delicious! This was my first time dining in and it was an amazing experience. We had the ribs, jerk chicken, plantains, collard greens, rice and peas, and Mac and cheese. Jamaican music was playing. It was all perfect. Dontae was our server and he was excellent. He was very attentive and friendly, always made sure we were taken care of. I highly recommend this place! ”
“ I’ve ordered from Roland’s Jamaica Chicken several times—both delivery and pickup—and the one thing I can always count on is their Jamaican chicken. It’s consistently flavorful, tender, and packed with that true Caribbean vibe that keeps me coming back. The staff at the counter are always friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. I’ve tried the oxtails a couple of times, and while the flavor is good, the consistency isn’t. Some orders are fine, but others are very boney, and my last experience convinced me to stick with what they do best—the chicken. If you’re craving good, flavorful jerk chicken, this is definitely a solid spot. For oxtails, though, you might find better options elsewhere. ”
